As I’m writing these lines, the first effects of the upcoming Eclipse season have already impacted my (relational) life. People are coming into and going out of my life as my values realign and my sense of personal truth becomes stronger, more visible, fearless. It’s the Venus retrograde season as well doing its part, helping me out when I can’t decide more firmly. Usually, the astrological and energetic events happen to me previously as I am deeply connected to the principles they embody. And this serves me to kind of understand what’s coming next and craft these messages for you.
So, hi, hello! The Eclipse Season is back. And strong I might add!
Lights out, hearts into. A time for darkness and less distraction that takes us by the hands and guides us to the most hidden and feared place: inside ourselves.
The first eclipse of the spring season is on March 13th to 14th. It’s a closing eclipse, a total lunar (blood moon) in the sign of purified Virgo. And it follows a swift Saturn cazimi in Pisces that happens today, March 12th. A consecutive series of days of purification of deep and long standing sorts is happening right before the Eclipse kicks in at its maximum stage.
The soul needs truth before acting on this truth. And these days are just about that.
This act of purification and clearance will have long term impact. Whatever you release now it’s good you are doing it. Wherever a boundary needs repairing or a commitment needs to be reinforced, the Saturn cazimi helps us bolster our containers. If you are launching now a project, it’s more likely to stand the test of time.
A lot is being cleared out so that a lot could come in. A forgotten wisdom is contained by Eclipses and every 6 months, the Universe tries to remind us of it. That we can burn the bridges that still attach us to the past. That we can wish for better things for us, as we become that very thing we pray for.
This spring season wants us not to start the things we want until the soul is deeply released from the old and full speed free to go forward.
This universal principle of getting lighter (and stronger) before the dawn of a new day (or era) echoes through the chambers of whatever you decide to break this week.
Eclipses have fascinated humanity for millennia, stirring awe, fear, and reverence across cultures. In medieval and modern times, politicians used Solar Eclipses as moments to behead a government or leader, while Lunar Eclipses were associated with disease, poverty, famine and the revolution within lower classes. Eclipses are either Moon focused or Sun focused. And if they are full eclipses, then they also involve karmic beginnings or endings as they speak through the nodes of destiny.
Astronomically, an eclipse occurs when the Earth, Sun, and Moon align in such a way that either the Moon casts a shadow on the Earth (solar eclipse) or the Earth blocks sunlight from reaching the Moon (lunar eclipse). These celestial events occur in cycles, generally twice a year, often arriving in pairs, one Solar and one Lunar eclipse. These periods create a cosmic "portal" of heightened energy, marked by shifts, endings, and new beginnings. Skywatchers across the world will witness the first total lunar eclipse in three years. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth moves directly between the sun and the moon, casting a shadow that gradually darkens the lunar surface.
The most striking phase, when the moon takes on a deep orange or red color, earns it the nickname “blood moon”. This happens because sunlight filtering through Earth’s atmosphere scatters shorter wavelengths of light (blues and greens) while allowing longer, red wavelengths to reach the moon. It’s the same effect that makes sunsets look red.
The periodicity and recurrence of eclipses is governed by the Saros cycle, a period of approximately 6,585.3 days (18 years 11 days 8 hours).
Blood Moon Eclipses generally take place in a pattern of threes, and the first of this trio falls in Virgo on March 14th, with the subsequent Blood Moon Eclipses following on September 7th and March 3, 2026. And they will tell a very unified story. This Eclipse is part of Saros 120.
From an astrological viewpoint, eclipses are often linked to karmic cycles, destiny, and transformative events that realign individuals with their authentic paths. Solar eclipses correspond to outer world changes, while lunar eclipses are deeply emotional and resonate with inner work. Both phases reveal subconscious material that has been hidden or suppressed, creating a powerful energetic reset.
Eclipses embody the feminine principles of change and revelations that happen in the dark.
Blood Moons can bring deaths and rebirths, but ultimately, they fast-track our spiritual growth and place us exactly where we need to be, even if it doesn’t feel like it at the time. Blood Moon Eclipses can accelerate this timeline, helping us make quantum leaps into new stages of our soul evolution.
This week, the Total Lunar Eclipse happens in the sign of Virgo (also the sign of the current South Node).
Virgo is the Ultimate Goddess who doesn’t need anyone outside of herself. She has become an extension of God, and feels full and whole within her being. She knows that all the wisdom, love, and strength she needs dwells within.
The Moon is connected to the feminine and the womb space. It is associated with our emotions, intuition, and the darker parts of our psyche that we don’t often feel supported to explore. Under a Blood Moon, we need to celebrate the feminine energies that live within us all and to honour the sacredness of creation and destruction.
Women, in particular, may find eclipses deeply impactful. The Moon, traditionally associated with femininity, intuition, and emotional cycles, is significantly influenced by the gravitational and symbolic force of the eclipse. For us women, this period often amplifies themes of identity, self-worth, and emotional depth.
Anima, the feminine aspect of the psyche, highlights how eclipses can serve as gateways for reconnection with the deeper, instinctual feminine nature.
For us women, eclipse seasons may also evoke the archetype of the Great Mother, a powerful symbol of creation, destruction, and rebirth. This archetype can manifest both within personal relationships and through internal psychological work, urging us to nurture themselves, release outdated narratives, and embrace their personal power.
In Jungian terms, this period is akin to the alchemical nigredo, the phase of darkness and dissolution necessary before the psyche experiences renewal.
Nigredo (Latin for "blackness") is a term originating from alchemy, representing the initial stage of the transformation process, a phase of dissolution, darkness, and confrontation with the shadow. It is the symbolic death or breaking down of the ego before spiritual rebirth and enlightenment can occur.
In medieval alchemy, nigredo was considered the first stage in the magnum opus (the "Great Work"), the alchemical process of turning base materials into gold. During this stage, the material (or the individual) is "reduced to ashes", symbolising the breakdown of old structures, impurities, and limiting identities.
Alchemy identified four main stages in the process of transformation:
Nigredo – Blackening (death, dissolution)
Albedo – Whitening (purification, clarity)
Citrinitas – Yellowing (awakening, spiritual realization)
Rubedo – Reddening (integration, completion, wholeness)
Carl Jung adopted nigredo as a psychological concept to describe a critical phase in the process of individuation, the journey toward becoming one’s true self. In Jungian thought, nigredo corresponds to the dark night of the soul, a period of intense self-reflection, emotional turmoil, and descent into the unconscious. During this phase, individuals confront their shadow self, the suppressed, rejected, or unacknowledged aspects of the psyche. This can involve feelings of confusion, loss, anxiety, or grief as old identities, beliefs, and attachments dissolve.
How you can work with the energies now
Stepping into your own river of wisdom, strength, and wholeness
Returning to our own inner strengths
Take a closer look at your mind-body connection, day-to-day work projects, routines, organization skills, mental health.
Try to accept more and criticise less
Journal for inner awareness, with writing prompts such as What am I ready to release?, What has been hidden from my conscious awareness?, or What new path am I ready to embrace?
Working with water, fire, or smoke purification can help clear your stagnant energy and create space for new insights
Work a bit with emotional stagnation or depression. You might experience a sense of being “stuck” or facing an internal void
Connecting with your cyclical nature by observing menstrual cycles, practicing womb healing, or engaging in sacred dance to embody their emotions.
Take care of your emotional system now. You might be, as a feminine soul and body, more sensitive to the energies around you. Eat nutritive food, maybe fast more, sleep more than you let your body usually experience. Cut the noise around you from media or politics. The Universe and evolution happens beyond the scandals and greed. The Universe is truly loving and more eager to support you move forward.
Ponder, slow down, try to be the Observer. Mercury begins its retrograde motion right after this Eclipse, so there are lessons to be understood. It might be the right time to end a relationship or revamp it based on an authentic ground. Between miscommunications and relational tensions, this Total Lunar Eclipse brings the much needed clarity, decision or rupture.
Something important is being revealed to us now. It might be painful as it is with any truth we have skilfully ignored for a lot of time. But it might just change the way we think or live our life. So it’s a huge step forward. The Pisces energy (which is quite crowded at this time) might just give us the emotional acceptance we need to let things…go for good. We will experience positive shakeups with Uranus in Taurus, as the plot twist and radical wild card that will most likely liberate us. It will feel like the Destiny decides for you, but with you.
Well, yes, Eclipses are more fated than we actually realise.

There must be another way of living
As I’m writing this message, the world seems to have gone in full (auto) destruction mode. “Leaders” of the world (and not the people we see on TV) are now full speed on rearranging the pieces of the puzzle to our humanity and destiny, mansplaining how aggression and cutthroat deal-making tactics are building prosperous, progressive worlds. They are try…
Until next week, I LOVE YOU! 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
